Forrest Gump is one of my favourite movies. I believed anyone who have watched it will agree that it is a classic. It is unlike the films we watched today, it shows a lot of plot and character development, many movies today only focused on the visual effects. I really like Tom Hanks' portrayal of Gump as I feel that every little detail seemed so natural that Tom seemed to be a mentally challenged human.
The movie was pretty funny and I like Gump when he speaks or uses an analogy. He said that Jenny and him were like peas and carrots. Jenny was his schoolmate and they met on the school bus. Gump and Jenny enjoyed each other's company, but was separated for quite some time as Gump went to the Vietnam War.
My favourite character in the movie is Bubba. He was Forrest's friend when they went out to war. Bubba loves shrimps and he wished to go into shrimp business with Gump after the war. I really love the friendship between Bubba and Gump as they were very loyal to each other. Gump fulfilled Bubba's wish of setting up a shrimp business even though Bubba died in the war. Gump is an inspiration despite his handicap in intelligence. His gift was a pair of strong legs that could run long miles.
It is indeed a beatiful movie, with many inspiring phrases and actions that will probably touch your heart when you are watching it. I do hope to share this wonderful film with anyone of you reading this post. Lastly, I will like to end with this line from Forrest Gump: Life is like a box of chocolate, you never know what you're gonna get~
